Guardian Quiz

Here's a quiz I found on the Guardian about COP21: 'The Hardest Climate Change Quiz Ever'.

Although it's happened, I thought it would still be fun to post to test your knowledge post-negotiations.

With a couple of lucky guesses, I managed to fluke 7/10.

  1. This is a great quiz, Ollie! Thanks for sharing it with us. I had to have a stab in the dark with a couple of questions, but still managed 7/10! I'm shocked that China is supposedly the world's biggest user of renewable energy - I would've thought Germany or Morocco were the biggest. Seems I have learnt something new today!

    1. Yes surprising! I guess it's just the sheer volume of electricity they use, I imagine they're not the highest per capita user of renewable electricity.

China, I would imagine, is also the biggest user of non-renewable electricity... slightly a trick question!

    2. Remember China is the biggest user or everything both good and bad. Interestingly government taking making a big push on this e.g. electric cars. That said if they don't do something you want be able to see 10m in Shanghai!

    3. Yes it's easy to forget! Better to compare /per capita numbers. I wasn't aware the situation had got that bad in Shanghai, Beijing got all the attention around the olympics re air quality.
